International trade policy affects everyone, no matter where you live, where you work or what you buy. Find out exactly how during the Minnesota Fair Trade Coalition’s Jan. 26 workshop “The Everyday Impacts of International Trade.”
Designed for leaders of organizations and unions affiliated with the coalition, the workshop will equip participants with “the big picture” of fair-trade policy, and cover how to mobilize other leaders and activists to advocate for fair trade.
Participants will learn how trade policies affect jobs, communities, public health and the environment, and see how trade policy is made – and what its consequences have been for Minnesotans.
Staff from the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service will facilitate the interactive workshop, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 26 at the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters Hall, 700 Olive St., St. Paul.
