Video workshops available for union activists

Workshops scheduled March 22 and 29 will offer hands-on training in how to shoot and edit short videos with easy-to-use cameras and editing software.

The workshops, led by Labor Education Service videographer John See, are open to active and retired union members with an interest in creating short (2-3 minute) videos for YouTube, Facebook, Workday Minnesota and other websites about issues that concern working people and retirees.

“Don’t have a topic in mind? No problem,” said See. “We’ll supply the content, you just shoot and edit.”

There is a registration fee of $10 for the two sessions, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Both sessions will take place at the Minnesota AFL-CIO, 175 Aurora Ave., in St. Paul. For registration information e-mail retirees@mnaflcio.org, or call 651-227-7647.

The Minnesota State Retiree Council, AFL-CIO, is sponsoring the workshops.
