Attention muscle-car enthusiasts and family-fun seekers: Mark Saturday, Aug. 9 on your calendars. That’s when local Carpenters unions, for the third consecutive year, will host a vintage car show to benefit their food shelf.
Hot-rod owners will compete for 10 best-in-show trophies, and the first 50 vintage cars to arrive at the event will receive dashboard plaques. The event also will feature food for purchase, door prizes and special appearances by the St. Paul Police’s K-9 and Mounted Patrol foundations.
Admission is free with two non-perishable food items or a cash donation to the Carpenters Union Food Shelf.
The show will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters offices, at 740 Olive Street in St. Paul.
