The new ordinance requires the City of St. Paul to look at how well financial institutions are serving the community before deciding which banks benefit from the city’s business.
The Community Reinvestment Advisory Committee and the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation’s Community Connections coalition are sponsoring the series of community conversations, which will consider what a more just and fair banking system would look like – and how St. Paul’s new ordinance can make it a reality.
The first community conversation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3. To RSVP, call Peter Rachleff at 651-774-8687 or e-mail email@example.com.
The ESFL is at 1105 Greenbrier St.
