In my opinion, the answer to the already grave need for care workers, is establishing an accredited two-year degree program at colleges and universities. It would give credibility to the worth of the work, and the workers. With the help of scholarships – which might have a length-of-service commitment at completion – this could be the beginning of a long overdue, recognition of and answer to this dilemma.
